I have been interested in photography since my early years. My first camera was a Kodak box camera that used 126 film. Lord knows where the pictures and negatives I took are today, but it'd be great to see them now.
I spent 10 years in the US Navy and had a lot of experience in photography while stationed on the USS Simon Lake in Rota Spain.
I worked part time in the photo lab mostly doing black and white darkroom work.
After the Navy I went on to other work but kept my love for taking photos.
I retired in 2002 and went to school to study photography at the New Hampshire Institute of Art , in Manchester NH where I learned to use all of the methods and techniques of photography. I also learned how to properly use digital and film cameras, lenses, studio lighting, Adobe Photoshop photograph editing and enhancing software, view cameras. and the techniques of shooting landscape photography.
I had a couple of my photos featured in a book entitled "From York to the Allagash Forest Fire Lookouts of Maine" by David N.Hilton(deceased).
I use Nikon cameras for both digital and film photography.
I love using my cameras to seek out nature, family, and wildlife and bring it to life in all it's beauty.
